Quick Fixes
1. Check Mute Switch
Make sure the mute switch on the left side is OFF (no red visible). This disables all speaker output.

Press the volume up button and watch the volume slider. Increase to maximum level.
3. Clean Speaker Grilles
Use a soft brush or dry cloth to remove dust from speaker openings at bottom and top of iPhone.
4. Disconnect Bluetooth
Control Center → Bluetooth OFF. Audio may be routing to Bluetooth device instead of speaker.
5. Restart the iPhone
Force restart by pressing volume up, volume down, then hold side button until Apple logo appears.
Advanced Solutions

Some apps have volume controls independent of system volume. Check app settings separately.
2. Update iOS
Settings → General → Software Update. Audio bugs are often fixed in iOS updates.
3. Reset All Settings
Settings → General → Transfer or Reset → Reset All Settings.
4. Hardware Speaker Replacement
If speaker physically damaged, contact Apple Store for replacement. Typical cost $99-199.
FAQ
Why is earpiece quiet but bottom speaker loud?
